He told us that there is a concept of ‘hell’ even according to Buddhism. How is it? Do you really believe in hell?

Of course, there is the concept of hell according to Buddhism. However, it is not like ‘hell’ as taught in other religion; it is not something created by God but it is created by human unwholesome thoughts, speeches and actions. The concept of hell taught by the Buddha has nothing to do even with Buddhism because it is created by unwholesome thoughts, speeches and actions of human being including Buddhist or non-Buddhist. Well, I will answer to your question comparing with myself when I was young. Ashin Kelasa with Israelis in Questions and Answers

You say that Buddhism is a living guideline. Don’t you see it in other points of view? (almost 45 minutes yesterday evening around 4;30 p.m.)

Of course, there are people who are spiritually undeveloped to understand as I do. They may probably think that Buddhism is a religion for them. In my understanding, the Buddha is not a god, not even a messenger of god as believed in most of religions across the world. The Buddha has never established a religious system but He taught us how we should live in practical life. Continue reading “Ashin Kelasa with Israelis in Questions and Answers”
