Ashin Kelasa with Israelis in Questions and Answers

You say that Buddhism is a living guideline. Don’t you see it in other points of view? (almost 45 minutes yesterday evening around 4;30 p.m.)

Of course, there are people who are spiritually undeveloped to understand as I do. They may probably think that Buddhism is a religion for them. In my understanding, the Buddha is not a god, not even a messenger of god as believed in most of religions across the world. The Buddha has never established a religious system but He taught us how we should live in practical life.

Buddhism for me is a living guideline or living principles that guide me a lot how I should live my life. In daily life, mindfulness and rational understanding are key points that can lead us not to get easily wrong in deeds, words and thoughts.

This teaching can be followed by everyone. we can all feel the same taste of it if we respectfully practice it regardless of one’s own religious belief and faith because this teaching can do nothing with religious faith and believe.

Buddhism will never encourage people to reject one’s own particular faith or belief and also will never encourage to seriously take it. There is nothing to do with religious faith in the practice of mindfulness and rational understanding in day-to-day life as taught by the Buddha.

You get it?
Yes Sir.
